Well, seeing as US Intervention is always a hot topic here I wondered what everyone's thgouhts on this would be.

Me ? I say go in, especially if France will join in alongside us and the US.

French rifle, never used, dropped twice.

Go in all guns blazing I say. Build some battleships and intimidate them all.

Conscript all the neds and send them too. A million man army would be scary. Especially if we gave them guns too.

Whilst it's nice to see someone else join in, I think you should have looked at the link because it's about intervening in Liberia...

If by some bit of magic the French did go into Iraq I would have to question on which side it would be on, as it is now they dislike this country nearly as much as they hate America ,personally I would rather have them in front of me than behind with a gun in their hands.

The problem with peacekeeping is that the rules of engagement always favour the "bad guys". Also Africa is one unstable continent and any American intervention may result in massive pressure for them to intervene elsewhere. Then Britain may be pressurised to act upon the situation in Zimbabwe and so on. I'm not saying that any of the above is necessarily a bad thing but the more civilised European countries and the US cannot sort out all of the woes in the world.

So they invariable (and convieniently) attempt sort out those which have some perceived benefit to themselves.

America could use it to renew a few international relations and prove it can act when it has little to gain from it. Trouble is it has "Somalia MK2" written all over it...

In an ideal world, it would be nice to see it sorted.
But the cynic in me can't help but think "What does America benefit from helping?" and then being surprised when nothing happens.

Continue this excellent work...
Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do, I am delighted.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
