I bust myself up, so couldn't finish it last summer, left it while at uni, and picked it up again a few days ago.
The course was a HTML one, I thought it'd be nice to underline my ability with a certificate, to prove what I could do (good for cvs and stuff).
The course was hell.
Teaching was lame. If I didn't already know it I wouldn't have stood a chance.
Their mode of assessment was based more on guessing what they wanted with their vaguely worded question, then giving *exactly* the right response, down to the very keystroke.
Needless to say, the assessment pished me off no end, losing marks because their questions left you guessing which particular keydstrokes were required, and much stress followed.
Now I've finished, and I find out (I think, they're still very vague) that because I wasn't registered with a course tutor (because there wasn't one available in the area), I can't actually get a certificate.
The whole reason for all that time and stress was.. nothing at all.

signed up a coupla years back for a web design course, 3 months in and i'd completed a cartification in Powerpoint (of all things) and then they ditched the Frontpage and actual web authoring part of the course. to date i have recieved a copy of Office 2000, Visual Studio (which i've never used and only demnded cos i paid £1700 for the course) and a certificate in powerpoint. It was a total rip off, and £1700 is a LOT of dough when you're 20, hell, it's a lot now!!
so be warned, MicroTEC computer training are sheisters!!!(sp? :) )
