Growing up, I was never a fan of the He-Man cartoon series.

I always felt that they were patronising, overly simplified moral tails, crudely animated to sell dolls... A camp Care Bears cartoon?

Though for some reason, it did seem to be popular with a lot of people here, so just in case your interested, and haven’t already heard (I'm usually the last to know most things) CNX, the Cartoon Networks 'teen' channel are currently/about to start showing the new series of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe...

Why create new toys, when you can regurgitate the same crap you were passing out twenty years ago? :)

It's just the new one on CNX. I thought that I'd give it a go. I watched it with few expectations and what I found disaointed me. It doesn't make any difference to me if what I watch is animated, computer generated or "live action", if I enjoy it, I'll watch it.

I haven't watched it since I was 3. So I watched it today.

And what are you talking about Goatboy. Some people just like watching things they liekd when they were younger, there's nothing wrong with cartoons, it's just another viewing media (Or whatever it's called), it's no worse than any fantasy film.

I liked it when I was 9.
If you are watching it, or have bought it on DVD - you are either desperately trying to appear "ironically cool" or retarded and enjoy children's cartoons. May I suggest Harry Potter and the Goblet of Drool and a happy meal?

So far it's no good. Can't say that I'm enjoying it. I'm finding nearly all the voices annoying and I'm not to keen on the animation either. Just found it all a bit boring, maybe because it wasn't a childhood thing for me. Might give it another episode or two, seeing as it was only the first one today. Overall, I can't see me watching this for long.

Never a fan of He-man either but I will give this new one a try. Probablty suck like X-men Evolution but possibly more. Bring back Thundercats.

He-Man ruled. Had a He-Man figure and a few of the books. Who remembers She-Ra? They started showing that instead of He-Man - I was not amused.

They need to bring back Thundercats and Real Ghostbusters. Oh yes.

I wasn't a great fan of it either.

But if they bring back Thundercats or Jayce & the Wheeled Warriors I'd be smug.

Also the original cartoon series is coming out on DVD soon!
