i have just received the phonotrend dvd player as an alternative to the encore dvd450 player.
but i have not recieved any instructions for the secret region select menu.

has anybody else received this player and if so have u got the instructions to make this player a multiregion one

yes, i have exactly the same situation. i recieved the phonotrend player yesterday, but i didnt recieve any instructions for the multi-region hack or how to disable macrovision (or is it already disabled?).

does anyone know whether SR will ever be getting any encore's back in stock, and whether it would be possible to swap the players back? on the enclosed letter it said the encore is "no longer available" which sounds like it could have been dis-continued?

the only reason i ask is because although the prestige works well, i dont like the remote or the on-screen display at all, and the machine itself looks a bit plastic-y.

and yes, i too would be very grateful if anyone knows any information about the prestige player, eg the multi-region hack.
