Hi there, I am trying to add google gs.code to my website and google is refusing to gather the data after 2 days (although it can see the tracking code) I run google tracking with no issues on other websites so I am assuming it is because the gs.code is not located directly before the tag on the page. I have put the code at the bottom of the editable html on each individual page, but I think it really needs to be in the footer text to place it before the tag but Instant pro will not let me add the code into the footer text using the html button. If I cut and past it in from notepad, then instant pro removes it.
Anybody got any ideas on how I can get the google gs.code successfully installed? or will it work if I use the legacy google urchin code instead?
Many thanks

thanks for the reply - the urchin google code is working perfectly, so I guess it's something the editor does'nt like in the js script. One for the instant pro improvement list maybe, as the freeola website stats are pretty basic so a lot of instant pro users are going to prefer to use google.

When Freeola's InstantSites first came out I tried to add Google Analytics but I seem to remember the 'editor' stripped out the JavaScript.

I know this has been discussed before - I'm not sure if the editor now allows JS from Google. I also added Google Adsense and remember having a bit of a fight with the editor as it kept trying to strip the code.

It would be nice to know what the current state of play is.

EDIT: Welcome to the forums Inkiee!
EDIT2: *blush* - Actually it looks as if I have previously installed GA on this site! It's only a play site so I don't pay that much attention...

Not sure if this is a google issue or an instant sites pro website issue but after several attempts over the last few days to get the google gs.code to work, I have switched to the legacy urchin code, placed in the same place on the page using the same cut and past method via notepad and hey presto it has sprung into life and now works fine! Anybody else had this issue?
