Anyone know how long it takes to format a 80gig hard drive?

I formatted an 80gig in like 1 minute...as "miserableman" sed...do quick format:
DOS:
>format c:
DOS:
>format c:
You can quickformat them which takes under a minute

Yeah same here. I know a friend who had a 120Gb and it took about an hour. I also remember when I had my 40Gb it only took 10 mins or so to do it in DOS.
I will have 2 120Gb hard drives to format soon :(.

Don't know but I imagine that it would take a long time. Took me about the same length of time to defrag a 20Gb disk.
