Right, I'm assuming this is a hell of alot faster than usual Ethernet- but at what cost? I mean- is it expensive? Just how much faster is it? Is it held-back by a BroadBand connection?

Considering the fastest broadband commercially available is 2mb, even a 10mb ethernet for internet sharing is overkill.
Just get a normal 100mb system. You'll never notice the difference unless you do some hardcore file transferring.
