I was at this barbecue with my Dad, step mum and step brother.
We started talking about the violence between Israel and Palestine.
My step mum said Americas support was due to the large amount of Jewish voters in the US.
Everyone though that was reasonable until she tried to seriously sum it up in a better way...
She said: "That's the trouble with Democracy: There's too many Jews."
I absolutely p*ssed myself laughing, it was such a stupid thing to say!

Strange. I've never met anyone with a dislike for Jews.
When I think of Jews, I always remember the old man who came to visit our school to talk about his experience in Auschwitz. He showed us the tatoo on his forearm and everything- it was a very poignant day.

Thinking about it, whenever my dad has something bad to say about someone he's met or seen within the day, or if it's plainly someone he doesn't like, he'll refer to them as either a "Jew" or just "Gay".
It's ALWAYS one-of-the-two.

Everyone sees the same problem with democracy from a different angle.
In my view, the trouble with democracy is that every fool gets a vote.
Hence I have no problem with discarding spoilt ballot papers, when it comes to that. For example, if you are foolish enough to put a tick instead of a cross in the box, you do not deserve to have a say.
