Despite that - someone has managed to spend on my card. I have spoken to my bank's anti-fraud team who could see there were a few test-transactions for approx £1 each and a charge for a rail card in London (I haven't been to London for approx 15 years!) and saw it as fitting the pattern of a fraud they're frequently seeing taking place lately.
Thankfully I put a stop to it straight away so all false-transactions are going to be re-credited to me. However, if I didn't check, it could've gone up into the hundreds, if not thousands of pounds!
There's probably few people who use their cards that are more security aware than I consider myself to be, so if someone's somehow got a swipe of my card number, it could easily happen to anyone else.
So please please please check your balances regularly so you don't get caught out by attempted credit card fraud!
I'm just glad I stay on top of my finances...
Anything suspicious, do exactly as Edgy did and report it as soon as you can. The sooner it is spotted the better! Hope everything gets sorted Edgy!
