Ah of course, Gone Baby Gone was awesome. I didn't consider it because it came out in the middle of 2007 and was delayed over here because of Madeline McCann.
Didn't we have this thread a couple of months ago? I remember nominating Gone Baby Gone at that point.

Yeah,its very good.Got the US Blu Ray (which is region free BTW).Enjoyed it even more on a second viewing.Certainly a much better film than the ridiculously overrated 'Slumdog Millionare' IMO.
For me the best film of 2008 goes to 'Dark Knight',thought it was excellent.I know a lot people on here loved 'Wall.E' but personally I wasn't overly fussed with it.I found it pretty annoying and a bit boring TBH.Actually preferred 'Kung Fu Panda'.I appreciate the 'don't use the earth as a toilet ' message but Disney films need to be fun and I just didn't think it was.Ben Afflecks 'Gone Baby Gone' and 'REC' were the biggest surprises of 2008 and 'Indiana Jones 4' and 'Diary Of The Dead' by far the biggest disappointments.
