I have a real inkling to want to write stuff - be it comedy, drama etc but i have no idea how to get into it and who i need to contact. I have my a-levels and the moment and even though i have applied for uni i feel that i would prefer to write stuff - anyone know how to get into this or who i should contact?

I'd still go to Uni, what course are you planning on doing ?
That gives you something to fall back on if the writing does not go well, and it's likely to give you more idea of how to write well, and generally give you new experiences to draw on.

If you want to write, then write - there's no law against it, you don't need a degree or any A-levels to write.
And if you've got no material to show people, then they'll not know what you're up to, and you'll never get anywhere.
The main thing is, if you want to write - then write. I'm always writing stuff - stories, poems, scipts in all different styles and it's really developed my skills. Nothing can help you write more then you actually writing.
Then you've got a load of material to show off to boot.
