They dropped Fox off about thirty metres from the pipe. it was the closest they could get, as the feild surrounding it was too strong for the ship. But Fox could get through. Fox, an invaluable government agent, and the tool with which they would end this terreble, bloody interplanetairy war. Fox laid low for a few seconds, anylsing his surroundings. To rush across the battlefeild would be suicide, and it would mean failing his country. He would be killed outright rather than fail earth, and he would fail earth if he was killed. He began to change. his skull squealed as it cha ged shape, his bones groaned ominously as they shortened, shifted, melded together. His hair grew long, and soon he was covered in a thin grey fur. But before he could complete his changes, he was blown out of his cover by an exploding shell. He lay, burnt and wounded, on his back, his thoughts sifting away. He couldn't hear anything, as the blast had deafened him. But one lone thought stood vigilant in his mind.
'The pipe' it reminded him. Paifully, he crawled to his feet. there was not time to complete his change, and this shape was more than adequate for his tank. He darted to the next bunker, wincing at his burnt limbs. he trew himself out of the door way, and ran asfast as his now-crippled body would carry him. He raced past the bodies of hundreds of dead humans,of melted tanks, and grounded gunships. He reached the pipe, weakened from blood loss & pain, and toppled into the pipe, down towards the green glowing energy crystal. He reached inside his jacket, and detonated the explosives on his chest, destroying the planet, the battlefeild, and all human & alien survivors.
