I've got all the details set up, but no matter what I do, I can't work out how to set it up.
I'm using Invision, which is hosted on Freeola and I've got all the details from the host I'm trying to connect to.
I just don't know what to use, where to link to?
The IP doesn't work, and neither does some of the other stuff
I've tried:
Default Gateway
Primary DNS
Secondary DNS
IP Address
Are they the right things, or will I have to add something else onto the end to allow it to connect?
Thanks.
Phillip
I'm gonna test the connection with a forum which is already uploaded to the Freeola webspace to see if I can find how to connect first, then I'll use the database like I want to and get myself a nice fast counter for my site.
I'll give Freeola a buzz and ask them.
For example, Freeola won't allow for you to gain access to your database from anywhere other than your own Web Space.
Some hosts may also not allow you to receive information from an external MySQL database.
