Same as the PS2. You only get a network adaptor with the PS2 which you have to buy for £24.99 for the offical Sony one from good old SR, while XBox has it built in.
I agree as well as if you havent got a PC then broadband is pointless. Also I dont think you would be able to get the XBox or PS2 online without a PC. Say you have ADSL then you would either have a USB modem which needs a PC, or a ADSL Router which is set up via a PC. Maybe a Cable modem or a Ethernet ADSL modem may work, as the XBox(not sure about PS2) has settings where you can type in settings to get the modem to connect to your account.

Anyway, there's no point in buying it if you haven't got a PC. For the amount of time that you're gonna use it and the amount that it's gonna cost you, well, there are far better things to spend £25 a month on and the £100+ installation.
Plus the Xbox doesn't have a modem in it, you'll have to get the modem from the people who provide you with the BB.
