The lights on now, it's fine in the connection area.

However, once I turn on my video capture software the image stays for aroudn ten seconds then freezes. After this the program crashes and the webcam doesn't work with any other software unless I restart my PC. It only works for ten seconds again after that.

Because when you know something doesn't work, and at one point you try to fix it and it doesn't work, it annoys you. So you keep going until it works, or in the end just smash it up.

Why are you so bothered?

Nobody wants to see your ugly mug anyway.

Well now it seems to be working for long lengths, that is until I stick it out the window so the brightness etc can change automatically. It does that, then when I take it back it freezes on changing back the brightness levels etc.

There are controls on the actual webcam software which I'll play around with so that the brightness doesn't get adjusted and stuff but still it is pretty much essential for this cam.

Oh and Creative suck at support.
