Some of you older members may remember Ali Bongo as the mad magician on many a saturday evening entertainment show, but he was much more than an 80's entertainer.
Bongo was key to many of the famous tricks shown on TV including some of Paul Daniels more famous ones and inspired the character of Jonathan Creek.
He suffered a stroke while giving a lecture in Paris last month and died yesterday after later complications.
