just a little thread to say one of the finest action/espionage films ever made (in my opinion) is on tonight,
Ronin, 22.15, BBC1
if you've not seen it, its got the best car chases you'll see in a film (well, maybe the italian job has better) and a glorious james bond esque storyline.

true, but the film has a very dark atmosphere and is a truer representation of espionage than the sometimes camp james bond or similar.
I couldn't see robert de niro throwing a toaster in a bath tub with a bad guy, before saying 'shocking' .....
And it also includes a small, inconsequential part for Sean Bean, the actor whose character never seems to make it to the end of the film without dying or leaving midway.
