Sonic shuffle came through to my door 4 days ago on an import from america. The first thing i thought was that it was going to have the best damn mini games you could have thought of. So i hapilly started the game up and watched the very nice cut scenes and began to play the story mode. I noticed that it has different kind of graphics used in this game. It seems to go for more of a manga look and the characters look cartoony. There are 4 main characters in the game Sonic,Tails,Knukles and Amy. One of the main differences between Mario Party and Sonic Shuffle is that there are cards used instead of just a basic dice. The cards are used as whole battle system and it makes the game a bit more fun.

When the game comes to mini games it is not that strong. There is only a handfull of good mini games and it is very rarely landed on. Also there is a very large problem with this game and that is the long loading times which Mario Party never had. This is one of the main disadvantages of the game and therefore makes all the games last alot longer.

The main objective in Sonic Shuffle is to collect Power Stones in order to beat the other players. Like Mario Party it is not as easy as it seems because there are many traps and plots that lie in the way. These include mini games, battles, mini events and the Robotnic card.

The sound is very good and also the graphics but the game is let down by long loading times. There is not really enough features in this game. You only have a choice of versus and story mode. As far as I am aware there is not a feature where you buy mini games like in mario Party.

Sonic Shuffle is a good game and it is really totally different to Mario Party. The game is sadly let down by long loading times and lack of features. It is still a good game but I do not see any mention of the sonic team in the start up so this might have been what went wrong. I would rent before you buy everyone.

Has anyone else at SR got this?

If Knuckles was the lead character in this game, do you think that they'd have called it Knuckle Shuffle?

I haven't played Sonic Shuffle myself yet. I read a mag review though and they didn't really rate it. I guess its going to only appeal to certain people.
