Sinclair is a real doubt to start, so our left sided problem seems to go from bad to worse.

Rooney will not start but will, “play a part” in the game…don’t know what this means, it could mean he will play for 10mins, it could mean he will stretch near the Serbia bench during the game to strike deep fear into the subs.

Man U are reported to have accepted a verbal offer of £30million for Beckham from Barca. Talks are being held but a firm offer cannot be put forward until after a new club president has been elected.

The club is not only interested in his playing abilities, but also the money he can bring to the club through other means…

Prospective Barca president Joan Laporta said:

"He is one of the few players in the world capable of earning the money back for you in commercial revenue alone."

Beckham has let it be known that he wishes to stay at Man U, but for this kind of money it is surely in the clubs best interest to sell. The £30mil could be very handy for the summers shopping spree and already Ronaldinho is being touted as a potential replacement. Although they are completely different players I don’t think this would be a bad move, if you have Giggs playing at his best up the left and Ronaldinho up the right, I think that is a pacey winged attack to worry any defence.

If Ferguson were to buy the Brazilian he would no doubt have a fair bit of cash from the £30mil left over to strengthen the rest of his squad.

Xabi Alonso’s name has been bounded around as another potential purchase.

If i was part of the United board i'd tell Barca you can have Becks for 30 Million but you have to chuck Kluivert into the deal as well. If not, no deal.
