It’s the feeling of being not quite drunk and not quite sober, that is really messing with me right now. I have an industrial strength hangover that if released upon Iraq would have ended the war within the hour.

Last night was meant to be a bit of a laugh, going to the cinema with a few mates then back to one of their houses for a few drinks. Getting home around 12 and being up early the next morning to revise. It didn’t quite work out that way. We were drinking at about 6 in the evening until about 8, and then we went to the cinema to see Reloaded. I would have had chance to sober up but vodka kept ‘accidentally’ being tipped into my drink that ended up being two thirds vodka and one third cola.

I didn’t understand the film much due to the fact I was fairly drunk and the big words got slurred somewhere between the speakers and my brain. I sat there for all two and a half hours of it then stumbled down the stairs with my mates, who decided it would be good to walk 3 miles back to the house we were all going to.

It gave me a chance to sober up but more alcohol was needed so I voyaged to the off licence to buy some more Bacardi. Some muppet drank about a quarter of the bottle on the way home but we still had plenty left. Perhaps too much! The drunken munchies saw us hankering after greasy snacks and the chippie was the immediate solution, but the chips were too hot for our drunken fingers and the majority of them went to the floor. A bit closer to the house and a huge blooming Alsatian chased us up a hill, but finally gave up and took a dump in a nearby garden.

We got to the top of the street of the house we were going to and suddenly all the streetlights around us went off. Power cut. To the observer, I cannot imagine anything funnier than 8 drunken teenagers making utter fools of themselves as they ramble through a pitch-black house. We found a torch and some candles and seeing as it was warm we sat outside and, like fools, drank more. Lots more.

In my drunken, yet mildly creative state, I made possibly the nicest mix humanly achievable. It was, as follows:

- A lid-full of Bacardi
- A generous splosh of cider
- About an inch of blue WKD
- Top the glass up with orange fanta until the concoction turns green.

It is, without a doubt, the nicest drink ever. It is very strong too.

We went inside to use the toilet with a candle as our only source of light. Someone shut the bathroom door too fast and it went out, then someone fell down the stairs. After this I think we went back outside and then at some point the power was restored.

Everything after this is pretty much a blur. I remember being in a sofa with some girl on my lap watching MTV. I remember that we couldn’t get a taxi until 4 o clock and I remember being sick in the toilet. I recall the taxi driver forgetting to clock our fare (My mate stopped over at my house) and I remember pulling my phone out of my pocket and realising it had been on the internet (It’s a WAP phone) for about an hour!

It was half past 4 when I finally got in, my mate slept on my bedroom floor in a drunken heap. I woke up at 2pm this afternoon and was still drunk. I have my damn GCSEs starting in two days and I was meant to revise all day today – I have so far looked at ‘breathing and respiration’ for about 6 minutes before collapsing in a tired pile on my bed. I was going to fluff up my Biology exam anyway but I will be pushing the ‘ungradable’ boundaries to an entire new level with my crapness.

I have solemnly sworn to myself that ‘I will never drink again’. Until next time, that is.

Damn, I forgot you had the ability to gauge my ambivalence to certain posts depending on who's writing it.

Russ is saying that no one really wants to know about your drinking ways.

Indeed.

The heavy duty drinking really impressed me.

Partially seems to be the operative word here...
