Diablo 2 is a fantastic game, and a worthy purchase.

What PC do you have?

I've had a lot of fun with Diablo 2... and I STILL haven't completed it...

Diablo II is one of the best PC RPG's around, nothing has come out in the last few months to even come close to it. Massive game it is. The only other entertaining title of the same calibre is Deus Ex, which is a class game, but more of a stealth/shooter than anything else.

Nothing has come out close to it??

Baldur's Gate II not only comes close, it kicks it out of the playing field.

Easily one of the best games of recent months...

I was put off Balders II by Planescape Torment, which was just a bit too wierd for my liking, so I stayed clear of anything that could resemble it. Mind you, now that you've recommended it I might have a looksee and rethink my earlier judgements.

Planescape was definitely strange...

I think it was an attempt at a different appraoch to the genre.

BGII is superior, and the storyline is slightly different depending what profession and race you start with, and also how you interact with the members of your party.

It's cool...

I liked Planescape...

And although I didnt think it was all that wierd... I did find it got a bit silly replacing limbs/etc... which, in the end is what stopped me from playinmg the game...

And as a result put me off BG2... although I have been becomming a touch jaded at RPG recently... Just getting old I guess! :)

Diablo 2 isn't perfect without a patch.
