As you may of guessed, I am running Windows 98 on one of my PC's (and want to keep 98 really) but am have intermitant problems with my broadband connection (won't load any page - but press F5 few times and it will load), NTL say it's a compatibily problem with IE 5/6 and Win 98.

What other browser would you suggest, I will try some different browsers but if still have a problem will have to get rid of Win 98 (silence as tear drops on keyboard)

Thanks

If you were using an OS worth the warez disc you got it from you wouldn't be saying that.

True Win XP is good.
I'm content with Win98 Se for the moment.

I was very reserved about switching over to XP, as I thought Windows 98 was simpler to use as well as the whole 'being used to it' feel.

However, after a couple of days of XP, I have come to relise how much better it is in many aspects. I'd also come to figure out just how bad Windows 98 was.

Should you change over to Xp, that tear of yours will dry up quickly enough.

I used both IE5 and 6 when I had 98.

Then I got XP Pro.

Ahh.. my eyes. No more harsh greyness, no more blue screen of death.

(a) The NTL guy was talking out of his backside, there is no such compatibility problem

(b) Try www.opera.com or www.mozilla.com

(c) Getting rid of Windows 98 may be the best thing that ever happens to you

I utterly loathe Windows 98, and you should too. It has no redeeming features.

The coolest ISP ever!
In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.
Many thanks!
You were 100% right - great support!
