I got my PS2 last month and i'm really surprised at how many games there were to great me after my purchase i.e. not many. There are a few good games Tekken Tag, SSX.....can't think of anymore!
It's true that you can play your old PS games on you new PS2 but that is not the reason i brought it. I wanted to play PS2 games on it and i wasn't really aware that there are not many top quality titles for it.
Three of the games i'm most looking forward to might not even be realised this year. Resident Evil Code Veronica for example. Yes it my be better than the dreamcast version, with better graphics and added story line (so it's bigger that the original) but i won't be released until the 22 of March.....in Japan!!! So god knows when that is going to get over here. Silent Hill 2 again won't be released until Christmas, CHRISTMAS!!! The deadline shared by many other great PS2 games and god only knows when Metal Gear Solid 2 will be released as they keep on putting back the dead line for the release.
In the meantime before these games and many others are released they are trying to fill the viod with little crappy games that are about as entertaining as eating a sandwich.
Couldn't of Sony at least told these games companies, "look we're releasing these whip as$ machine get your boney butts in gear and start work on those game."
They reckon in 5 years time that the PS3 will be released. That doesn't leave a lot of space for those games to be finished in.
I could of waited a few months for a wider selection of games to be released then brought a PS2. I would of been cheaper and there would all ready be some decent games out for it. My advice is don't buy a PS2 yet. Wait for a few months for more games to come out or the price to drop.

Hey, guess what. Wipeout Fusion has now been delayed. God knows by how much. At this rate about 20 top class games will be released at once and they will suffer from crappy sales as they will cost £40 a shot and nobody will be able to buy them all even if they are released at christmas. How the hell thinks these things out, if you release one every month or somthing along those lines then nobody will moan (ME!) and the sales willl be higher than releasing them all at once.

My point was merely that though you say you know loads of people waiting for a PS2 who can`t decide, how many are actually here at this site? The short reply time was simply because there`s no point waiting for the one or two people to reply.

Right "Flying Pig" i'm sorry i couldn't give an exact date. I said "a few months" in a lose term and not to be taken literally as "a few months" Sorry if you took what i said seriously (how gullible are you!?!) but next time i'll give a more accurate date. So let's try that again, the PS2 will be cheaper in 370 days 37 minutes and 45 seconds maybe a day out. Is that better oh so accurate Pig that flies? I'm sure everything you say is so perfect you could set your watch by. All questions that consider time, space and any other dimension should be directed at piggy who knows all and can't take anything in a looser way.

The PS2 will not be cheaper in a 'few months'. Maybe in about a year or so, but not much before!!
Please note that when ssxpro posted his message he gave about 2 minutes for people to post there replies and i don't really think people are going to post a message saying "i want a PS2 but i haven't got one" cause it would be rather pointless......and sad.
