PS2 has hardly any good games and it's £300. Aren't Sony pathetic. PS2 is doomed.

Oh.....wait a miniute...I bought an N64 on release.
Can you spot what I'm getting at here?

Oh look, another list of PS2 games.

No doubt they'll all be sequels.

Oh, hang on, there's only 1 sequel there.

All of those games MUST be rubbish then.

Unless the whole PS2 only has sequels thing is a load of rubbish?

No it can't be, it's believed by so many....

At present there are approx. 30 games released for the PS2. Admittedly I wouldn't give many of them the time of day but some are very good. Like SSX and TimeSplitters.
It's just a matter of time before the PS2 really begins to shine with games like:
Project Eden
The Getaway
Wipeout Fusion
Onimusha
etc etc etc

and I haven't even mentioned one or two other games.....

No console will ever be released with a tenty-odd top titles to choose from.

These initial games may well be good, but due to facts such as developers not really knowing what they're dealing with yet, and the risk factor of investing in a new console, they won't be as good as the games that will come later in the systems life.

Most people only buy consoles as soon as they're released due to the 'must have' factor.

The N64 certainly wasn't a good investment at £250 with only Mario64, Waverace, and Pilotwings available for it, but it still sold.

Before the end of the year it's price was down to £150, and you had more quality games such as Mario Kart and Goldeneye to chooses from.

Anticipation is what truely sells consoles at launch.

People didn't buy the Playstation 2 just to play on Ridge Racer 5, and Tekken Tag Tournament, as good as they might be, they bought it to play on games such as GT3 and Metal Gear Solid 2, and whatever other quality games will no doubt be released.

But is it really worth £300 for that?

I didn't think the N64 was worth it at release, so I didn't buy one... that doesn't mean I hate Nintendo, it just means I know the value of money... unlike some... :D

I can. When the N64 was realeased, the launch games consited of about 6 games, but most of them were brilliant! There was Mario 64, the likes of which had never been seen before, Wave Race, which showed off the power of the console, and Turok which let you shoot monkeys.
PS2 has Tekkan Tag, which is Tekkan 3 with nicer graphics, Timesplitters, which is no better than Quake III or Perfect Dark, and SSX, which is no much better than 1080 or coolboarders (or so the reviews say).
