Yes, our good old friends, XP and OpenGL.
This is slightly game related, yet I find it more suitable to be posted here.

Right, I'm trying to play MOH:AA on Windows XP (Pro) here. But the famous message, "GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem" appears.

Now, I have no idea here.
I have a NVidia GeForce 2 graphics card, and I've been to the NVidia site. I've downloaded and installed the WinXP driver, but still, no difference.

I'd install '98 on a seperate partition, but I really don't have the space to spare.

So, OpenGL for GeForce2 on XP.
HELP!

This is a pretty common problem with the Quake 3 engine. Sadly there isn't one fix, it really depends on what you've installed before etc..

One thing you might try is find the file opengl32.dll in your windows/system32 directory and copying it in the MOHAA game directory and then delete the file called 3dfxgl.dll in that same directory.. I think you might need to find and copy opengl32.lib into your game directory too, don't remember for sure.
That worked for me anyway, although don't quite remember on what game now. :) But if you put the error message into google, you can find many report and solutions, 95% of the problems seem to be centred around the quake 3 engine though.

Maybe your GF2 doesn't support all the required OpenGL components... I dunno. It really should work though, OpenGL is something that just... does.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Just a quick note to say thanks for a very good service ... in fact excellent service..
