Since this messageboard started in January we have had alot of good and some bad words about DVD. I still have friends who are against DVD and some that are all for it. I`m one of the ones for it.
Then you have the people who are for it.......but are going to wait for the Writeable DVD players. My view on this is your are missing out on alot while you are waiting, the picture quality and sound alone should be enough to tear most people out of their seats and run to their local shop and get a DVD player.
There is in my view a expeceptional difference and more whole home movie experience, it doesn`t put me off the cinema itself, Why? because for one going to the pictures is a good few hours out with friends, and for all the excellent TV`s out there, nothing can compare to the BIG screen.
Saying that though you could crowd some of your friends in one room and even have one of them rattle sweet papers all the way through it and get a good DVD to watch, and even someone walking in front of you now and again to get that full cinema experience, but i`ll still be going to the cinema because of that BIG screen and to socialise.
The good thing about the cinema now, is you see a film, and think that will rock on DVD, and usually it does and that is another reason why i`m enjoying DVD`s.
So for all you sceptics out there, go buy a DVD player now! you will not regret it, and when Writeable DVD players come out then wait for your existing DVD to die on you then get one........if they turn out to ben any good thats is:)

So to DVD or not to DVD.....that is the question.

I say go DVD!!!!

It's not fair, I tell you.
All you lucky peeps get to watch your much-admired DVD films on your respective shiny DVD players or perhaps not so shiny PC's (like me until recently - I won't go into that).
But I'm stuck with about 10 DVD films but no player because it isn't in stock.
I know it's not Special Reserve's fault, it's the manufacturer's problem at the factories I expect.
Ooh oooh ooh i can's wait, just you wait you people, one day i'll be just like you with my shiny new DVD player with lots and lots of shiny DVD's to play on it.
Hopefully by the weekend that will be.
Ooh I can't wait.
