Gareth Barry is a good shout. I forgot about him. I think Ashley Cole is better going forward, but your right when you say he needs more experience. I have seen him quite a few times and he looks a great prospect, but does get caught out now and again with his reading of the game. That will improve with experience.

From what I've seen of young Ashley Cole, he's good, but I don't think that he's an England player yet, but a lack of decent players able to play on the left side might give him a chance.

Though I think Gareth Barry might be a more probable choice.

If i had my way i would have Hyypia in defence yeah. But not Westerveld in goal and Smicer in midfield.

Your right though, its hard not to be biased. Plus you tend to see more of your own players than other teams, so you know how good they are more than fans of other clubs a lot of the time.

Sounds like if you had your way we would have Westerveldt in goal, Hyppia in defence and Smicer in midfield.

It is hard not to be biased when picking an England team. I only selected TWO Arsenal players (Martin Keown and Ashley Cole). Although Tony Adams would have been in if he had not retired.

Seems pretty good mate - i would have made room for Heskey though. Danny Murphy has really developed too. Carragher would be good as a right back or left back. I know these are all Liverpool players but they are real quality now.

Good choice with that Joe Cole pick - he's a good little player !
