My dad works for Intel and so most of his colleagues are American. So, 4 of his workmates set out on a “hunting” trip. Hunting being the posh word for 4 men sitting in a camouflaged hut and shooting anything that moves. After a while, one of them saw a furry thing and so opened fire hitting it once and knocking it to the ground. Open approach they realized it was in fact a badger and (presuming) it was dead, picked it up and put it in the back of his pride and joy (a large pick-up truck).
After a few more hours of sitting around they decided to head back. Just after getting into the truck and starting it up, they heard a noise from the back. Upon turning around they were confronted by one very alive, very angry badger. A quick abandonment of the truck and run to the hut later and they were safe. The badger then proceeded to rip up the entire interior of the truck before strolling off, never to be seen again. Good on the little sod I say!
