Phew, glad that's over. I've finished my first full year at Uni (I did a foundation year), minus the exams, and I'm pretty chuffed with how it went. In my first semester I applied myself to a few subjects and got A's and B's, but I also failed a few which I am re-taking in June. No biggy, just a few more exams. This semester I worked pretty hard and ended up with a few nifty little projects that should get me some high marks. Then of course there's the exams, but I seem to be understanding everything so far.
The way I see it, the first year is meant to be a preparatory year, leading up the the 2 years of study that actually count towards your degree. This bodes well for me, as if I'm not interested in things from the offset I get bored and eventually stop doing things. Anyway, first year over, skint and thousands of pounds in debt. Huzzah!
