Sony has admitted that three PlayStation2 games may not function properly on the new model PS2. Sony blames the lack of compatibility on some non-standard programming techniques used in the games.
The three effected games include:
Reselied: Ephemeral Fantasia (Konami)
Sky Surfer (Idea Factory)
Golf Paradise (T&E Soft)

lol... relax man... I own neither a Dreamcast nor a PS1/2... so I'm completly impartial in the matter... it was just the most eye grabbing title I could think of at that time... :)
And how is this good news for Sega fans?
Not all Sega fans hate other systems, and it doesn't do Sega any good to have the PS2 report bad faults (however unofficial the reports are) as they are now making software for the console.
Please don't start the 'my console is better than yours' thing again, we're too mature for that..okay, maybe that's not the right word, but you know what I mean.
