I've recently noticed one the of the pages on my Freeola free domain name and free hosting sites being very well placed on Google! :¬)


The Google Search in question is [b]Map Coordinates[/b]

Google currently places my site 1st out of 14.9 MILLION(!) results (excluding any paid for placement).

As you will probably know Google is continuously re-indexing and changing is algorithm, so the current results may not last.

Google also has numerous physical data centres so when you perform a search different users are often accessing different data.

I wonder how many of you remember the "Google Dance" from the good old days? This is when Google used to update it's indexed pages on a monthly basis rather than the continuous process that's now used.


So the challenge is can you beat my Google placement?
Preferably with a web site hosted at Freeola but any other second rate provider will still count ;¬)

Then I tried " Borders Branch" for the charity web site we maintain

came in at number 1

Results 1 - 10 of about 6,170,000 for Borders Branch. (0.23 seconds)

For me it's not just the UK version.
You are also nicely listed in the Local Results which is always useful!

Interestingly (well for me anyway!) my Freeola Instant Site is top of the pile when searching for the phrase:
"Web site built using the Instant Site builder from Freeola.com"
This text is put on all 'Instant' sites by default but can be removed.

3rd Place for our Village website Denholm Village, quite happy with that result though.

I'm often telling people how well Freeola sites can rank with the Search Engines (servers in the UK, fast response, etc.).
