I was in a bad mood and passing through town, so naturally I spent £30 in Virgin on their 5 CDs for £30 sale.

I found 4 I wanted, but then couldn't decide on a fifth so I decided to play the game of "find an artist you've never heard of who has an interesting album cover and tracklist".

So, I bought an album by a guy caled Alec Empire, who it turns out is on Digital Hardcore records, the same people who produce Atari Teenage Riot. It's not terrible, but nor is it really what I was looking for. It's fast, thrashy, has wierd sound effects and involves a lot of screaming incoherently

And then I got home and remembered there was a Death in Vegas album there in the sale that I actually wanted.

And his music is utter crap. "I'm addicted to you, I'm addicted to you, I'm addicted to you, cos you get me through". Add dull and monotonous throbbing bass and you get Alec Empire.
