Although multiplayers more involved than a quick deathmatch have already started to appear on the PC's (Vampires, et al) and games like neverwinternights are comming out soon... more variety, differentl types and playstyles have yet to emerge (althou they are currently on the way)... so console equivelants shouldnt be too far behind...
Of course if they put enough effort into it, it will be a great game but the single player makes it look good.
Single players are longer than multiplayers, although they have a shorter lifespan that is only because we spend more time on it.
It's just a wasted opportunity if you get a good multiplayer and no decent Single player. The Multiplayer made ones like Turok RAge Wars and Unreal Tournament maybe not the perfect single player but with intelligent bots it's adequet.
I think that a super smash type 4 player Zelda would make the game last much longer, I think that you only tend o play Zelda through 2-3 times but you would keep coming back for more if there were a 4 player.
I think we should see a really good Turok game for the GAMECUBE, I am not a big fan but
"How can a Nintendo 64 owner call himself a fan with no Turok game"
You heard and you know you agree, a big 'N' fan is nothing without a turok game to propthe rest up, I hope we seen the damndest Turok game on the NGC. I think that graphics and effects would be ace!
Imagine PC type graphics on a console, that is what we'll be seeing soon...the guns the jungle levels...I can't wait! Another thing will be the multiplayer, I think these new Next-Gen consoles will allow more wrestlers, baddies and explosions on 1 screen......
I can't wait me!
The Game
More games should have multiplayer 'main games' - but not just shoot em up's. It can work with almost any tyoe of game.
Sonic 2 with player 2 as tails. That was pretty cool, even if it was virtually pointless. How pathetic would streets of rage 2 or golden axe 2 been if they'd only been single player on the main mode? And gauntlet certainly wouldn't have sold much.
I can't think of many single player games that wouldn't be better if they were multiplayer.
Player 1 would 'accidently' shoot Player 3.
Player 3 would retaliate, and it would turn into a death-match anyway!
