"Guitar Hero World Tour or Rock Band ?"

There has been a lot of banter throughout myself and friends about which game is basically better for Parties and Such, so i was wondering what everybody else thinks because i am caught between the 2 Games and i think there as good as each other but then again, everybodys opinion counts.

Yeah,there both good and basically the same thing to be honest.Rock Band 2 is the one to go for at the moment IMO as its got the best songs and as already mentioned if you can borrow/rent a copy of the 1st Rock Band you can transfer all bar 3 of the songs for something like 400 M$ points.Also all the RB 1 downloadable songs on XBL marketplace work on RB2 as well.I saved some cash as I already had 2 Guitar Hero 3 guitars (which work with the RB games) and any USB microphone works fine with the game as well.I have the Logitech Vantage mic.It doesn't matter if you get the 360 or PS3 Logitech mic as they are both the same,only difference is the colour.These can be picked up new for about £18.Just waiting for Guitar Hero : Metallica next month now,that should be great !.Hope this helps mate.

Hey, both are top notch games, but I prefer Rock Band myself - the songs are more recognisable and lots of songs are available to download.

Also, if you then get Rock Band 2, its quite cheap to then transfer all the songs from number one into your playlist.

But the GH 2 controller is much better. Go for a cheap copy of GH2 and then buy Rock Band later :) Hope that helps.
