The only thing is Sega aren't using the console in the wars!
One of my friends has a PS2 and a Dreamcast and he says that the graphics are much better on hte Dreamcast and I've another friend on the web who says that the Dreamcast games he's played are much higher quality than the PS2 games!
I've always found Sega to be of decent quality which is hard for a dedicated Nintendo fan to say especially since the last decade where Sony weren't even in the wars!
I think it's sad to see the console go but it's great to see Sega making a fresh start (not a fresh tart, a fresh start)
Sega started off with making Arcade and console games (I've got a few for the ZX Spectrum) and they started making games consoles roughly the same time as Nintendo did!
Now Sega are going back to games only it's like they are pressing the old reset button and going back to business with the knowledge of other companies weakspots!
Welcome back to the software market Sega!
The on the dreamcast are of much better quality of the ones on the PS2, TTT for instance is a good, actually it's an amazing game, but nothing compared to Marvel Vs Capcom 2 which proves graphics aren't everything. Name any game on The PS2 and i will be able to tell you of a better game on the N64 or Dreamcast.
But i think that we should all wait a couple of years before we can say which is better the PS2 or the Dreamcast, but by then production of the dreamcast would would be of the shelves, if only Sega realised how good their console is, Sega don't quit, show everyone whos best
We do need competition though, Sega writing games for all platforms is good in a way, it means that you get some really good arcade games on most consoles, but they aren't giving up on the Dreamcast.
Ant, the PS2 is good, I've said all this before, but Sony needs competition as much as the other companies, otherwise artificial price increases and lack of variety will ensue.
Have I written all this before somewhere? I have a great sense of deja vu.
Surely the games on Dreamcast, N64 and PSX prove this??
That's why I think SR should allow us to edit our own messages if we need to!
now here's my reply to your message:
The Dreamcast may have been out for 2 years and the PS2 only just released but that doesn't mean that Sony are gonna get better with games!
I saw this documentary about games consoles and there was a development team for one of the new PS2 racers!
They put a lot of hard work into the game!
On this program Sony boasted about it's new consoles powerful abilities to beat all the consoles! So does this prove your theory wrong?

I expect your friends haven't played the excellent TTT, and also, what do you expect!?!? The PS2 has been out here a couple of months-the DC for 2 years!!
Soon enough, the PS2 will have the games it deserves, including the best game ever: Metal Gear Solid 2.
