I seem to remember some people got quite excited about the March 2003 thing (which turned out to be a hoax) so, along similar lines - 2012 is the now date!

Anyway I just read a book that is about the world would flood in 2012 just like it did 12,000 years before in the time of Noah's Ark. it also has stuff about the lost city of Atlantis.
