Okay we've been getting this program since before we formatted which I really dont understand. I thought that formatting from dos would give u a clean registry? If not how can I clear it? Because everytime I login I get this error which tries to make me reboot but ive got around it by using task manager to close the registry checker. The only thing is, everytime someone actually lets it try and repair the registry all of the files added and programs installed beforehand are wiped, bar the ones installed before the problem.

My PC specs are (s***e but thats another matter):

Pentium 4 1.5ghz
128mb RAM
20gb HDD
GeForce 2 MX 400 64mb

And probably importantly my OS is the child of satan Windows ME.

I doubt it. it's stopped on mine, and I never put in any more RAM. Well ,ti hasn't fully stopped, but it barely happens anymore.

This has been happening to me also several times recently. It'll repeatedly come up, but just ignore it. You will only have problems if your PC does what mine did: go to Safe Mode parameters, but not be in safe mode.

ie. Load Windows in Normal Mode but have a 640x480 screen, 16 colours, no sound or external devices etc.

Eventually, if you just ignore it, after a long long time, unless you're lucky, Windows will boot up in Command Prompt Only mode and you can fix it from there. If it doesn't then manually do it. Reboot your PC, hold Ctrl (or F8 depending on your system) and teh Windows boot menu appears. Select Command Prompt only and type scanreg. The Registry Checker should sort it out then, with luck.
