I'm making a site, and i came across a problem that could only be resolved by having 600/800 pages and 768/1024 pages... Instead of having a page asking which screen size you had, is there a way to make it so it detects and goes to which ever one it needs automatically?

But there is a much simpler way to do it. See my site http://cyberwise.tk and you will see that it is only one page, rather than several for each different screen size. That's because I use percentages i nplaces, but pixel widths in others.

Meh, close enough.

Well... if you redirect to a certain page, that page must only have links to pages for that size. If you had an index800.htm, you should only have links to something like members800.htm. So if you had three pages, and three screen sizes, you would have to have 9 pages in total.

I wanted to know the answer to that question to. Also do you just need to include the code just in your index page or in every page ?

Damn. You got there first. Oh well, but you got width and height the wrong way round. Those dimensons would make a slightly tall screen rather than slightly wide like they are.

I ripped this from an old website I setup in bygone years...

I'm sure its overkill in the resolution flexibility, I wanted to allow for people with non-standard resolutions as well as standard (though I developed pages specifically for the standard res).

I noticed that, especially with images, the screen height is much more affecting than width, which also allowed me greated flexibility, so I left it out???

What that script should do is detect the screen size and width and redirect the user accordingly. Obviously you can change the sizes that you want to detect and change the URL's, but this should do what you want if I've understood you correctly.
