Reading the newspaper today, I notice that there is a Starsky and Hutch film in production.

David Soul, of the original cast, is not to happy that new actors have been cast in the lead roles. He's 58! Surely he can't be *that* surprised that he wasn't chosen?

But what has me confused is the new cast. Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson line up as Starsky and Hutch (last seen together in the comedy 'Zoolander'), and funniest of all, none other than Snoop Doggy Dogg as Huggy Bear! Is this film meant to be a parody, or a faithful tv-to-movie conversion? The former seems likley, given the cast. I can't figure it out.

So anyone care to shed some light on this situation?

BTW, sorry if this is old news, but it's the first I've heard of it, so bear with me!

Sounds good to me. Snoop Dogg as a smooth talkin' pimp mutherluvver. It'll be the shiznit.

And Owen Wilson is one of the only people in film today who can make me laugh without actually being all that funny.
