I recently played the bouncer on a friends Jap PS2, and unfortunatly the rumors are correct about the total lack of playability and originality in the game. The graphics are no dought top-notch, far better than anything previously seen on the PS2, however this does not compensate the totally rubbish gameplay. After 40mins of playing I had to turn the machine off and play SSX. I wont be buying the game, lets hope they bring out some real impressive games soon, otherwise people will soon lose interest in the system.
I probably will get The Bouncer after all, not straight away but eventually. After reading the daily radar review I wasnt that keen but after reading several over reviews it doesnt sound all that bad. It is still suppose to be an experience for every PS2 owner. The Bouncer 2 has been announced so hopefully they will tie up all the loose ends and tweaks!!
I hope that I do not lose interest with the game, as I had it Pre-Ordered when I first bought the machine. Does The Bouncer have Surround Sound Support??? I have noticed that with my Digitheatre, with the Optical Cable fitted at both ends, I can only get Pro-Logic Support. Is there any clever people out there know how I can change this to turn it into Digital???
