I thought the whole point of the pre-order system was to ensure that every one who ordered a PS2 would get one on launch day instead of queuing in the shops.
This was at first a good idea but Sony could not deal with the demand for PS2 and failed to deal with the great demand.
I finally got the console and it is brilliant. SSX and Tekken Tag are fantastic, I can't wait for Gran Turismo 3 and Metal Gear Solid 2.
Cheers, anyone got any thoughts on the pre-order system.
Thats the bottom line cos Rhys 3:16 said so.

True, true.

Such as Woolworths, hey kieran0601?
I ordered mine on the 7th September and got it on launch day! No queuing up at 3am to be in line for one or anything.

Putting lots of exclaimation marks at the end of a sentence doesn't make it any more true!!!!!!
See.
Seeing as you ordered so late, you were pretty lucky to get one as soon as you did. I have friends who ordered about the same time as you and they are still waiting.
I had a lot of problems with my pre-order, but luckily i only had to wait an extra 2 weeks for my console. At the end of the day Sony knew it was going to be a big hit, and yes they did get it wrong. But i hardly think that the whole thing was a scam.
If you want to see real PS2 scams, have a look at some of the american web sites, many people over there were "scammed" for real, and lost a lot of Dollars to boot!
