i have had to put a space between / and videogames to get past SRs 45 letter
So the son of PS2 is on the way. And what of all the hard working little programmers who have just about managed to collect their jaws off the floor after witnessing the power of PS2, what are they going to make of all this?
Not to mention our mate Bill, he has already got the gitters with the current competition let alone another Son of Sony. Will he be throwing himself out of his "Windows" at hearing this latest news?
I think NOT!
Although i believe that Sony are more than likely looking to the future, let's face it they would be daft to just sit back on their laurels and ignore it, and they probably have some sort of blueprint for their next "next-gen" console, but to see it on the shelves in 2 years time, it seems a bit wayward to say the least. I think that we will have to wait a bit longer to see the next installment in the Sony Saga.
And on a final note, my mum always says "Don't believe everything you read."
It's the same reason that Sony are still producing the PSOne.
All this talk of a PS3 is just hype by the media. No matter who's console it is there's always talk of a new one on the horizon. For example just as the DC was released there was a romour that Sega were researching a console (DC2) that was 1000 times faster - and we all know that that isn't going to happen!
Just sit back and enjoy your shiny (??) new PS2 and don't worry about it's successor for at least the next 4 years when Sony'll be ready to unveil their new super console for the next 'next generation console wars'.
I certainly don't think we'll see it before 2005/2006 though.
