According to SkySports News - AGAIN - Gabriel Batistuta is finally ready to quit Italian Football in Serie A to sign for an "ambitious London club" in the English Premiership - a league he has been intending to join for the last few summers, now!

No Man United, no Newcastle - a London club.
But will he actually do it, this time??

Arsénal are the first club that comes to mind. But with Arséne Wenger preffering French-flops like Sylvain Wiltord over any others, it seems unlikely that he will ever consider signing this world-class Argentinian - especially after Nelson Vivas.

Chelsea are the next club - and favourites to get him, in my view.
They've got a strong influence of a mixed variety of international players, and a "super-star" like Batistuta could be just the parter (or replacement!) Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink needs to fire Chelsea into the big-time they can never reach.

West Ham were linked with a loan move for him at around Christmas time. But I somehow doubt "Batty" would want to play in the First Division, now!

I have no doubt that Glenn Hoddle will be showing his interest after hearing this news, and then there'll be some rubbish in the papers about how he'll actually WANT to sign for Spurs - just like with Morientes, and others!

But 'Spurs' and "ambition" are two words that DON'T go together!

And don't even get me started about Charlton....!

But why turn down the chance to even consider a place in Man United's squad? If he's looking for ambition, that's the only place to go, right now! And Fergie has shown a keen interest in him in the past...

Argentinians, eh...

'Bagitol' is a great player- but I couldn't see him at any London club except Fulham, because they already have another Argentinian- Facundo Sava. And He looks like Rob Zombie. Scary.

Yeah I agree. I reckon it's just a rumour, or if he does move, it will be to a Spanish club, or maybe to Inter permanantly.

He's past his sell by date.

I'd say Fulham/Spurs if anyone at all. Doubt anyone would be stupid enough to pay his wages in England either.
