So the Game Boy Advance is almost among us. Its former, Game Boy Color, was the best selling console beating even the highly acclaimed Playstation. Though Pokemon had a lot to do with the success of the Game Boy, the conveniance of playing anywhere made it a great hit.
Now the successor is winging its way to our shores. Promising graphics better then the SNES but still remaining small enough to remain handheld, the Game Boy Advance looks like a certain success. With the news that Mario Kart will come to the console, four player link up action sounds too good to be true! With developers trusting the Game Boy Advance to be a success, expect classic games to be produced for your powerful handheld.
The Gamecube may have the graphics but will it offer 4 player Mario Kart action on the move? I think not! Nintendo has always remained loyal to great gameplay, and great gameplay will almost certainly be the key thing of the Game Boy. It is bound to cost less then the Gamecube and will also be shipping far quicker then the follow up to the much critisied N64. With the Game Boy Advance being the most powerful handheld ever, expect games of the highest quality that could even be on par with Playstation One games! It all depends on the price tag Nintendo places upon the little one's shoulders as well as the line up of games when the GBA hits us. If both of these issues are alright then Nintendo will have a big success on their hands and with a range of Pokemon titles certain, the once grey screened handheld will have grown up to challenge its much bigger and powerful brother, the N64.
Who says size matters? Nintendo didn't!
