And the fox in the field of rye
Redness engulfed the earth
As death was visible in the sky.
As the children stood bewildered at the oncoming wave
Of dust, dirt, and bones
The ground opened slowly
The cracks widening with moans.
Screams were heard
Punishment was seen
Twas not the hand of the creator?
Whatever happened that day
With startling dismay
The earth was left with a crater.
