Does anyone know what I should revise for my History mock on Tuesday? I have been told it is going to be on "Germany" but I have done World War 1 and World War 2 both of which are vast topics that are completely different. Not to mention the fact that they could ask about the time between such as the Great Depression, The Treaty Of Versailles, Nazi Germany (before the war) etc etc. There is just so much to learn. Does anyone have a clue what I should revise because I really don't want to read over the 3 jotters I have containing information on the 2 units.

Woo Hoo! I sat my History Prelim today and I went after school to an after school History revision class and she had managed to mark them all over lunch time and not only did I get "1/1 Outstanding!!" as my mark I got FULL MARKS in both sections of the test I got a 1 for my Knowledge and Understanding (KU) and a 1 for my Enquiry Skills (ES). For all you English people out there a Grade 1 is the equivalent of an A+ or whatever you get down there and it was a Prelim which is a practice of my Standard Grades in two weeks so a Prelim is whatever you call a practice of your GCSEs (I think they are called Mocks). Anyway YAY ME!:D

My God, I don't remember having to learn THAT much back during my GCSEs. I did History and Geography, so my brain was just LEAKING with worthless information!

The syllabus, or at least mine, covers...

- Post WWI Germany
- Treaty of versailles
- The great depression
- Hyper-inflation
- The Dawes plan (Loam from USA)
- The rise of the Nazi party
- The rise of Hitler
- The Hitler youth movement
- How Germans were turned against USA/UK/Anyone else! (Education system, propaganda, etc)
- Persecution of Jews/blacks
- How WWII began

That is what is on my GCSE paper in May but you might not have covered all of them if it is your MOCK. *shrugs* Good luck

I think if its a mock, learning to revise is probably more important than the result. Revise it all if you can, but concentrate on perhaps your gut feeling - learn revision stuff.

Perhaps.

Just... revise it all...

Jesus, imagine if you only revised one thing, and the exam was on something else? You'd probably totally fail and get moved down into a lower set. I got moved down in maths because of a mock exam, don't think it doesn't happen!

It's not exactly hard, learning it all.

If you have a good teacher, when your reading it you should remember everything and then just remember key dates.
