Okay i'm a really massive fan of the series Stargate SG-1 and i've heard a few rumours that there are plans to make a film/s with the current cast of the TV Series and i was wondering if there aree any other fans out there who can confirm these rumours.
I've been along to the official site but they don't give much away and the prospect of a new Stargate film is very appealing to me.

I think they'll just stick to Atlantis for the time being, and they can't exactly NOT find Atlantis before they either finish it completely or it gets cancelled.
I don't like Stargate: Infinity as much but it's reasonably okay to watch, the only thing that bug me are the comments that the baddies have been around for a long time, but that can't be true since it was the Gou'ld who were around then. Either that or the baddies stole all of the Gou'ld technology for themselves after they were wiped out by us and the To'kra who have also probably died out.

Firstly I'm the resident Stargate expert on this forum since I chat with other fans on a Stargate chat forum and have learnt a lot and have came up with a lot of connections and theories about the show.
They are going to finish the 7th series and then do the film, then afterwards it will be a totally new team that go out to search for the lost city (or world) of Atlantis, which was probably one of the homeworlds of the Ancients.
my thoery is that the ancients used to live on Earth and Atlantis when they were first around, and that they were human's like us, but they were obviously much more advanced mentally and pyshically than us. This we first found out in "Frozen" in series 5.
Series 7 will have Daniel Jackson returning from the higher plain of existence where the remaining Ancients are livng, and he will replace Jonas' place on SG1, but Jonas will appear in a few episodes in the series.
Anyway Atlantis may have one or two cameo appearances of any of the 5 cast members of SG1, but they won't be permenant cast members.

Officlal websites for TV programmes and films never give out good details. Just google for "New stargate movie" and you get loads of pages.
Well a friend of mine told me that they were going to start making a film after they have finished the current series, which i think they sign up for another 3. The official website gives non of this away though so whats the point of having an official website?? Beats me
Supposedly they're making a film when they finish making the series. Then the film will tie up a lot of stuff left unanswered by the series and lay the groundwork for the spin-off they're considering.
Or so I've learnt in the last 3 minutes anyway. All talked about a few years ago mind, so I don't know what they're doing at the minute.
