10: Pulp Fiction. Great film, very shoddy game. Play either Jules or Vince is a scrolling platformer, with guns. A bit like the Robocop games. Thankfully the company involved cut their losses and dropped this one!
9: S Club 7. Yes You heard me right! Thankfully dropped when the bands management couldn't guarentee that they'd have time to promote it!
8 Titanic. You would have had the opportunity to play as Jack, exploring the 3D ship, looking for various objects to give to Rose, and try to escape.
7: The Ernest Collection. Ever seen those films with Ernest in? Ernets saves Xmas, Ernest goes to Camp, Ernest goes to Jail. Stuff like that. Well they almost got a platform game out of it too, but when a current Ernest film project was cancelled, the game died with it.
6: Baywatch. Plenty of eye candy here, that's for sure! However the developers watched countless hours of the show, and couldn't find one story to tie the game to!
5: Mr T. An icon of the 80's Mr T had it all, except his own game, and he nearly got it too, until he was arrested, so the project was dropped, as it was seen to no longer be suitable for a young market!
4: Weekend at Bernies. Seen the film? It's about some guys that drag a corpse around and make it do stuff. The game was going to be about doing the same thing, but the company producing it went bankrupt. Damn shame too if you ask me!
3: Police Academy. You could play as 4 different characters in this platformer. Tacklebury (the nutty gun guy), Hightower (the big guy), Jones (the one that made noises), or Mahoney (Steve Guttenburg). Each of them had a different skill that could be used. After a few levels were made, the team realised that it had nothing to do with the films, and the game was released with different sprites as something else.
2: Stan Collymore Football. When this game was first playtested it was awesome, however for some explained reason the game became sluggish, and sometimes refused to play at all! When ported to another platform, again it started superbly, only to again have the same problems.
And the number 1 Licensed Game That Got Shelved is...
1: Garbage Pail Kids. Remember these stickers? There were several 'series' to collect. The game basically involved going around collecting different kids, then you could trade them, or fight with them. The developers never managed to find a distributer for it, as they thought that a game where you collect other characters would never catch on!
Har har har.
I'm rather bored.
Or did you not read it because it had the same heading as the last one, and you thought that it was the same old message?
I won't be too offended if you didn't like it ; )
