'Apparently' it's some kind of catch phrase and it's just doing my head in!

My Boss just doesn't wanna give me a clue of any sort.

By putting helium in it, it would increase its weight as helium weighs something, it just doesn't weigh as much as air, so it rises making us think that it weighs a minus amount, which I think is impossible. If the bucket had a lid then it would increase its weight, while if it didn't I think the helium would just rise and be replaced by air.
