Anyone know of a way to get the original RCT game working on Windows XP?
Tried the patch from the website and that makes no difference. Tried XP's Program Compatability Wizard and that didn't work either.
Failing that, it's an eBay sale!

Yeah I got a lot of this. Often the "no CD" patches worked, if youc an get hold of one. I think the problems are mainly to do with ASPI or something, which is what reads CDs.
Yup. That's effectively the same as using the Compatability Wizard.
If you just install and run RCT, you get an error message saying something like, "Wrong version of Windows. Does not run under Windows NT"
If you use the enable Win98/ME compatability, it just crashes!

I don't know what the XP Compatability Wizard does, but have you tried running it in Win9x compatability mode? You can set this by right-clicking on the shortcut -> properties -> somewhere in there (I'm sorry, I don't have WinXP to hand).
